A bustling seamer who thrives on discipline rather than raw pace, Hassnain Shah has quietly added strength to Oman’s bowling unit since his debut in 2025. Born on December 10, 1996, the right-arm fast bowler has already turned heads with his steady economy rate and ability to hold his nerve in pressure situations. His early ODI outings included a fighting knock of 42 against the USA, underlining his usefulness with the bat in addition to his primary role as a bowler. While wickets have been scarce in his first five ODIs, his control with the new ball and willingness to keep things tight have stood out. Shah’s journey has also included stints in domestic cricket with the Amerat Royals, where he earned recognition as a dependable option with both bat and ball. In T20Is, he has only had limited chances so far, but Oman’s selectors clearly view him as a long-term prospect. For a side looking to build depth in its pace department, Hassnain Shah offers exactly that: a reliable workhorse who can contribute in multiple departments. With more exposure at the highest level, he will be aiming to convert consistency into match-winning performances for Oman. (As of September 2025)
